Description
About the Book

This book addresses the theory and practical aspect of Ayurved Dietetic and explains in details about Aahara and its practical approach in day to day life. In my observation, that people of non Ayurved field write about Ayurved Dietetics but few persons show interest in book writing on the subject of Ayurved Dietetic. Author's intervention is to illuminate a bright future about the practice of Ayurved dietetics and motivate Ayurved physicians, students to maintain the health and treat the diseases through one of the sub-pillar which is described thoroughly by our Acharyas. This book addresses the nuts and bolts and analytical side of Ayurved Dietetics. Its intent is to clear the haze surrounding the concepts of Ayurved dietetics by describing the fundamental principles of Aahaar. Yoga science also described about importance of Aahaar with concept of Trigunatmaka Aahaar (Satvika, Rajasa and Tamasa Aahara), Yoga also give importance of diet in the path of salvation. The concept i material in this book is both broad and deep in relation to Aahara. The text is presented in the way that should make it accessible to even a layman. It is also a suitable textbook for undergraduate and postgraduate students, medical officers. It is said that books are never finished, but that they are just abandoned.

Finally, it may have seemed a foolhardy mission for a single author to attempt to write a comprehensive text on Ayurved dietetic but fortunately, my brother Dr. Sandipkumar and sister in law Dr. Shweta Suryawanshi incorporated by two chapter writing.

. I have been privileged to read "Aahar-Ancient secret of diet in Ayurved and Yoga", book written by my student Dr. Pradipkumar Suryawanshi, Asso. Professor, Department of Swasthavritta, Government Ayurved College, Raipur. I found this is a fascinating, vast provocation, deeple questioning book in relation to Ayurved Dietetics, which I thing attracts students, teahers, researchers, medical officers and practitioners of Ayurveda. This book has various chapters deals with the subjects ranging from understanding of the introduction of Diet to various recipes which mentioned in Ayurved Samhitas. Chapters are designed in such a way that it helps to acquire the besic fundamentals of Ayurved Dietetics. The author covers the syllbus of Aahara as per CCIM syllabus, which is useful of Diploma of Ayurved Dietetics, undergraduate, postgraduate students of Swasthavritta. I believe that this book will be a valuable source of information for the Aahara (Dietetic). Author has tried his level best to systematize the subject in a systematic manner to understand the concept of Ayurved Dietetics. I know Dr. Pradipkumar Suryawanshi since many years and appreciate his knowledge on Ayurved Dietetics and Swasthavritta. Work of Dr. Pradipkumar Suryawanshi is very much appreciated in this regard and I congratulate him and expect more such books from his gifted hand.
