Description
About The Book

The message of The Avadhoot Gita of Dattatraya: Song of the Unborn is timeless. The poem elucidates the universal Self, indestructible, immortal and free from the duality of bondage and attachment, knowledge and ignorance, Seegla Brecher’s lyrical translation conveys the direct experience of “the Unborn”- the liberated one. Readers of philosophy and poetry will appreciate the deep, meditative exploration in this 9th –century Advaita Vedanta text. The comprehensive Sanskrit-English word-for-word translation is an invaluable resource for scholars and students of Sanskrit literature.

About The Author

Seegla Brecher, born in Montreal, has studied and taught DaVita Vedanta philosophy, meditation and Sanskrit texts since the 1980s.Having earned a B.Mus., she completed extensive tutorial studies in Indian classical music, which she has performed in concert around the world. The Avadhoot Gita of Dattatraya: Song of the Unborn, the culmination of her in-depth study gives expression to her own journey.

Thank you very much for the Shri Yantra with Navaratna which has arrived here safely. I noticed that you seem to have had some difficulty in posting it so thank you...Posting anything these days is difficult because the ordinary postal services are either closed or functioning weakly.   I wish the best to Exotic India which is an excellent company...
