About
the Book
The compassion
for others makes one a great mall. The books of the wisdom say that the trees
bear fruit for others, the rivers carry water for others, similarly
the great souls are born for the benefit of others and to redeem the mankind.
This book
treasures the lire stories of three such great souls who delivered the
contemporary societies from social evil and the religious tyrannies to show each a new path that led
to a new world of understanding, love and compassion.
Mahavira gave a wider meaning to non-violence. Gautam
Buddha gave the message of love, peace and campassion.
Guru Nanak Dev fought against religious exploitation of masses through rituals
and blind faiths. He preached the equality of all human beings. They were true
messiahs of the mankind.
Foreword
Holy men are
ordinary looking persons but what is extraordinary about them is that their
minds and the souls are linked up with the Power Supreme. They show all the
divine signs described in the scriptures. They give the people courage to break
outdated customs and the traditions besides rejecting the blind faiths. They
show a new path to the society.
Vardhmana
accepted non-violence as his creed and preached the same. Through hard penance
he defeated the enemies within that make one a devil and he came to be known as
Mahavir (The great valiant). He was 24th and the last
Tirthankar of Jain
faith.
Siddhartha saw
the meaninglessness of the material world where nothing lasted for ever or for
long. So, the man deceives himself with carnal pleasures and lives amid
untruths. He renounced princely life and went in search of the truth. He put
his body and soul through meditational extruder to squeeze out the truth. He
attained enlightenment and became Buddha to spread the message of love and
compassion. He preached equality of all human beings.
Guru Nanak
took the sublime spiritual knowledge to the masses in common man's language. He
castigated those who exploited the masses in the name of the religion. He
preached devotion to God and negated the importance of caste and creed. His God
was open to all. The messages preached by these great souls are ever green and
are the keys to the spiritual upliftment and
salvation.
