It gives details from the conception of a garden to reaping its rewards Brief propagation details along with post-planting care and usage of manure and fertilizers will forego dependency on the shallow knowledge of the local mall. Written in a lucid and concise style and complimented with beautiful real-to-life illustrations, this handy reference guide will prove to be extremely useful to a novice as well as an expert gardener.

About the Author

Amarjeet Singh Batth served the Indian Army as a short service commission officer in the Armoured Corps (7 Cav) after completing his post-graduation from the Punjab University, Chandigarh.

An avid traveler, he has travelled extensively to various parts of the Indian sub-continent and South-East Asia. His travelling expeditions have been published in various columns in the print media.

A gardener with a passion for photography, he has an exhaustive compilation of the jewels of nature - flowers. This work is a collection of a segment of his treasure.

Foreword

We often get fascinated watching elegant flowers but are seldom able to grow them with desired results. There was a need for an interactive, illustrative, compact manual for the layman.

Growing seasonal flowers requires an artistic approach. The brief, objective layout information given in this manual will help a gardener match the various color combinations, hues and spread of the flowering plants to give a uniform effect to the garden. Barring a few flowers, a common man has limited knowledge about their identity, method of propagation and post-planting care. He uses set cultivation practices which do not yield quality bloom. This handbook presents in tabular form select propagation information for easy assimilation. Illustrations of flowers along with seeds and flower beds leave nothing to the imagination and give an almost practical look to the whole concept. The tastefully selected couplets glorify the significance of flowers making this manual more absorbing.

It is indeed interesting to note that a defense officer with admiration for flowers has combined his photographic creativity to present an illustrative and interactive manual on seasonal flowers grown in the sub-tropical plains of northern India. His creativity in using planting materials is well reflected in his own garden where he has experimented with growing numerous kinds of flowers in different hues and fragrances. He has been passionately involved in compiling his maiden work which is admirable. He has come forward to share his experience in gardening in this manual which shall prove to be much beneficial for garden lovers.

Thank you very much for the Shri Yantra with Navaratna which has arrived here safely. I noticed that you seem to have had some difficulty in posting it so thank you...Posting anything these days is difficult because the ordinary postal services are either closed or functioning weakly.   I wish the best to Exotic India which is an excellent company...
