Previous publications include Disguises of the Demon: The Development of the Yaksa in Hinduism and Buddhism and "Bija and Kshetra: Niyoga or Male Surrogacy in Ancient India." She is currently Associate Professor of Asian Religious and a member of the women's and Gender Studies faculty at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, U.S.A.
