About the Author

Radhakant Bharati (born 1939) has been a serious scholar of Geography. He has edited Bhagirathi, a journal of water resources, for several years. He has written copiously on aspects related to geography, tourism, sociology etc. his documentaries on major rivers of India have been highly appreciated.

Sandeep Sinha, chief copy editor with the Hindustan Times, is a post-graduate in History. He writes on a variety of socio-political issues and has also served as a Research Associate with the Bharatiya Jnanpith, New Delhi.
