It is a fine mix of solid pastel tones blending into a vortex at the bindu (dot) in the centre. It is an absorbing scarlet colour, surrounded by white and gold and earthier greens, blues, and browns. The brushstrokes that make up the multitude of colours in the vortex are extended upwards into panels of aquamarine blue and the colour of fire. This is the most striking aspect of the composition.
The section beneath the vortex is dominated by shades of crimson. Upon the bosom of the red earth one could see a pair of limbs gathered in a fine padmasana. Situated thereon is a semblance of the female genital, symbol of shakti, aspect of the feminine. The same is surrounded by the body of a blooming lotus. With intricate brushwork, the petals of the lotus are blent into the curves of the vortex at the centre of the composition.
