Crystals and Sequins Embroidered Flower Branch Zardosi Patch with Sparrow

In Indian fashion, embellishments are a thing. Sewn or glued onto the plainest of fabrics, they serve to uplift a singular outfit in ways that no accessory can. The one you see on this page is a fine zardosi number, featuring a bit of leaf- and flower-laden tendril made by meticulously arranging golden lace and glittering gold sequins by hand. Such a high-precision finish would go with a wide range of base fabrics such as silk, satin, or velvet.

Note the sparrow that is perched on this gorgeous gold vine. It is a richly coloured motif, about a fourth of the proportion of the embellishment. Its striking red and yellow plumage is lined with wiry golden lace. With its wings half-open, it pecks at the petal of a nearby flower. Having originated from Persia, a hint of zardosi manages to add just the right bit of glamour to any ensemble without spilling over into cheap bling.

Thank you very much for the Shri Yantra with Navaratna which has arrived here safely. I noticed that you seem to have had some difficulty in posting it so thank you...Posting anything these days is difficult because the ordinary postal services are either closed or functioning weakly.   I wish the best to Exotic India which is an excellent company...
